Opportunity description
UNV offers an online volunteer to work on the translation of the Environmental and Social Management Framework in Bengali from June – August 2024 for 6 weeks.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Proofread the document, which is 84 pages long in Bengali language.
- Ensure the translation is concise, in line with communications guidelines, and fits the audience.
- You will receive the document in its original language and will receive guidance on the target audience, communications guidelines, and other guidance as needed.
Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Be native speakers of the Bengali Language at the postgraduate research skills level.
- Familiarity with technical terms related to climate change, which is considered an advantage.
- Previous translation and proofreading experience.
- Fluent in English and Bengali languages.
- Ability to work 16 - 20 hours per week.
