Opportunity description

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking 6 Online UN Volunteers to support the translation of the "Promoting climate-smart agro-technologies in Kazakhstan" report. Volunteers will dedicate 11-15 hours per week for a duration of 1 week to translate the 48-page document from English into Russian and Kazakh.

Duties & responsibilities

  • Translate the 48-page English report on agro-technologies into Russian and Kazakh.

  • Edit and refine complex texts to ensure high-quality output in the target languages.

  • Ensure coherence, accuracy, and quality across bilingual/trilingual versions of the document.

  • Adhere strictly to the organization's editorial guidelines and styling requirements throughout the translation process.

Eligibility criteria

  • Possess native-level proficiency in English, Russian, and Kazakh languages.

  • Have experience in the translation of technical or analytical publications, preferably within UN agencies, international organizations, or similar institutions.

  • Strong attention to detail, stylistic consistency, and adherence to institutional branding and communication guidelines.

  • Familiarity with UNDP editorial and publication standards, including terminology and formatting requirements, is highly desirable.
