UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity to support video editing for International Humanitarian Day for The UNV Istanbul Regional Office is kindly inviting you to apply Videographer/online volunteering opportunity. The volunteer will be working on a video related to volunteering. The purpose of the video is to promote volunteerism and to support International Humanitarian Day by telling a volunteer’s perspective. The video will be published on social media accounts.
Volunteer duration and working hours:
6-10 hours per week for overall one week.
Duties & responsibilities
We are looking for an Online Volunteer who under the guidance of a Communication and Outreach Associate and Communication Analyst support us by producing one piece of video content. In particular, the Online Volunteer is asked to:
- Put together a series of videos and photos and edit them (approx. 10 videos around 10 sec. to 1 min., 20-30 photos);
- Add the subtitles to the video;
- Develop the final video (2 mins top) according to agreed requirements. The video product should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance. The Online Volunteer will have the opportunity to build connections with the Regional Communications Team at UNV and learn about the ways in which video communications assets can support the promotion of volunteerism, solidarity, social engagement and one-UN narrative.
Eligibility criteria
- Required experience: Candidates should have professional experience in video editing with previous experience and must have in-depth knowledge of video editing applications, as well as good verbal and written communication skills. A degree in the related field is considered an asset.
- Languages: English, Level: Fluent, Required
