UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteering opportunity with UNICEF Europe and Central Asia Regional Office (ECARO) in Switzerland to Russian language writing and copyediting.
UNICEF's Bebbo parenting app provides comprehensive, evidence-based information and interactive tools to support parents of children aged 0-6 years. To increase the app's engagement and outreach, we are seeking a volunteer to write copy and copyedit communication and promotional materials for Bebbo parenting app. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating copywriting and copy editing skills in Russian language.
Volunteer duration and working hours:
11-15 hours per week for overall 12 weeks.
Duties & responsibilities
We are looking for 2 online volunteers to support with the following tasks:
- One online volunteer for copywriting Collaborate with the Bebbo marketing and communication teams to understand the app's tone of voice, target audience, and key messages Write engaging copy for 20+ social media assets and at least 3 other communication assets in Russian language (survey) Write 50 engaging push notification messages in Russian
- One online volunteer for editing: Copy edit translated 150 push notification messages in Russian language Copy edit new Bebbo content in Russian language (up to 15 articles)
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Russian language, communication, media studies or journalism.
- Strong portfolio showcasing engaging copy in Russian language
- Excellent knowledge of Russian and English language
- Excellent writing and editing Russian language skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality output
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
