UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteering opportunity with Save the Water™ in USA to support the Human Resources Group in talent management. 

Save The Water™ is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to conduct water research to identify and remove harmful contaminants in water, and to raise public awareness about water contamination and its health impacts. Save The Water™ also offers educational programs to excite young minds about water science. The HR Job Processing Team at Save the Water™ is currently looking for an online volunteer Not only will your volunteering effort contribute to the important water research, but you will also be able to advance your professional skills in the field of HR, employee relations, employee motivation and employer branding. You will support the Human Resources Group in the area of talent management by maintaining advertisements for open volunteer positions on internal and external sites.

Volunteer duration and working hours:

1-5 hours per week for overall 12 weeks.

Duties & responsibilities

Work closely with the Project Leader of Job processing to support hiring needs. Support the Human Resources Group in the area of talent management by maintaining advertisements for open volunteer positions on internal and external sites.

  • Assist in creating ads, posting, and managing ads on internal and external job portals.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining the project plan.
  • Attend bi-weekly human resources meeting
  • Compliance with our standardized recruitment practices and process.
  • On a timely basis send weekly/biweekly updates to your Project Leaders/HR Director before your meeting.
  • Complete the timesheet at least on a weekly minimum basis.
  • Actively seek new avenues for expanding and retaining volunteer bases.
  • Work closely with Social Media team to post and manage applications from all STW™ social media platforms

Eligibility criteria

Required experience:

  1. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Google Apps.
  2. Associates degree completed and/or minimum 1-year full time paid/non-profit work experience required.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  5. Creative thinker who is self-motivated.
  6. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  7. Eagerness to continuously learn and develop business acumen.
  8. HR Experience desired.

Languages: English, Level: Fluent, Desirable
