UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity for producing 10 Short Informative Videos in English with UNEP Early Warning and Assessment Division for The World Water Quality Alliance (WWQA) represents a voluntary, flexible, and global, multi-stakeholder network that advocates the central role of freshwater quality in achieving prosperity and sustainability, convened by UNEP. It explores, monitors, analyses, and communicates water quality risks at global, regional, national, and local levels with the aim of identifying solutions for the maintenance and restoration of the health and well-being of both ecosystems and humans.
Volunteer duration and working hours:
16-20 hours per week for overall 5 weeks.
Duties & responsibilities
We are looking for a creative volunteer to support us in creating 10 short informational videos to inform a non-technical audience about a designated workstream of the World Water Quality Alliance (WWQA), which represents a voluntary, flexible and global, multi-stakeholder network that advocates the central role of freshwater quality in achieving prosperity and sustainability. The WWQA focuses on improving the quality of water around the World by working as a genuine partnership. Everyone, no matter their qualifications or expertise, has an important role to play. The volunteer will produce ten videos (1 or 2 per WWQA workstream depending on the material available), of a duration of approximately 3 – 5 minutes.
The volunteer(s) will work closely with the WWQA workstream leaders to receive video material to go into the informational video WWQA. The volunteer will also work closely with the WWQA Coordination Team based in UNEP who will provide brand guidelines and full guidance and support as well as facilitate the connections with the WWQA workstream leaders. Also, the volunteer will be requested to advise on the content provided and other aspects.
