The Women Peace Mediators Network booklet is a key communication tool highlighting the network's mission, objectives, methodology, and future plans. It provides insights into the role of women in conflict resolution in Iraq, the challenges they face, and the opportunities available for strengthening peace initiatives. The volunteer will play a crucial role in designing the booklet in Arabic, ensuring a visually appealing, accessible, and engaging format while maintaining UNDP’s branding and design standards. The final document will be distributed to government institutions, civil society organizations, and international partners.
Volunteer duration and working hours:
6-10 hours for 1 week.
Duties & responsibilities
The Online Volunteer Graphic Designer will be responsible for:
- Designing the overall layout of the booklet to enhance readability and engagement.
- Ensuring professional formatting of Arabic text, tables, images, and infographics.
- Developing visual elements such as icons, illustrations, and graphics to simplify complex concepts.
- Applying UNDP and UN Women branding guidelines, ensuring alignment with official visual identity.
- Enhancing accessibility through a structured and user-friendly design, making information easy to navigate.
- Collaborating with the project team to incorporate feedback and adjustments as needed.
- Providing the final document in multiple formats (PDF for digital use and editable print-ready files).
- The designed booklet will serve as a critical advocacy tool to promote women’s role in peacebuilding in Iraq.
Eligibility criteria
- A minimum of three years of experience in graphic design, particularly in report/booklet design.
- Proficiency in Arabic (fluent) to ensure accurate text formatting and typography.
- Strong skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience working with NGOs, UN agencies, or international organizations is an asset.
- A keen eye for typography, branding, and visual storytelling.
