Volunteer Online with UN: Translation of documents from English into Spanish

UN Volunteers platform is offering an online volunteer opportunity to translate documents from English into Spanish for UNDP Global Programme on Nature for Development.

Volunteer duration and working hours:

16-20 hours for 8 weeks.

UNDP is looking for one online volunteer to conduct English to Spanish translation, proofreading and formatting of the content (emails, promotional kits, social media post cards, surveys) for various self-paced courses including "An Introduction to Behavior Centered Design," "Integrated Spatial Planning," and "National Voluntary Carbon Footprint Programme initiatives (NVCFPs). The online volunteers will work to translate and proofread a total of three (2 page) emails, three (3 page each) promotional kits, ten social media post cards (2 sentences per card, and one post-course survey (6 pages). The online volunteer will be introduced to the work of the Learning for Nature team at UNDP.

• Required experience: Application is open for all nationalities with a preference for candidates with experience in translation work. Candidates should have a native-level knowledge of Spanish and fluency in English. Professional experience in translation will be considered an advantage. Experience using software such as Canva, Mailchimp and Google forms will be considered an advantage.
