ESC is pleased to announce the launching a volunteer program in Romania; Green park Education for Nature, during the period 01/01/2023 to 31/12/2023 of a total of 46 weeks. This program is a long-term ESC project (11 months) about social inclusion, Climate and Environment protection, human rights, solidarity, about you working shoulder to shoulder with ESC team, getting familiar with youth work and Nature.

Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Addressing kids and young people 3 to 13 years with different indoor and especially outdoor activities.
- Working together with different local partners - Schools, Kindergartens, Museums, Universities, ZOO, and Libraries to develop a series of activities that will focus on:
- helping kids and young people learn about nature and especially the local climate.
- encourage local kids and young people to embrace the idea that all have to love and protect Nature in order to have a future.
- encourage kids and young people to become active citizens - protecting animals and fauna.
Eligibility criteria
You should have:
- Passionate about Nature - loving to be outdoors, passionate about animals.
- Willing to share your passion for Nature with kids and youth.
- Middle level in spoken English.
- Happy to work with children and young people.
- Excited to develop new skills in organizing, implementing and coordinating activities.
- Brave enough to move for almost one year in another country.
- Having residence in one of ESC eligible countries.
Training During the Activity
- On Arrival Training organised by the NA- National Agency of ESC- European Solidarity Corps.
- Training regarding protection and safety of the participant.
- Linguistic training (RO, EN) a 42 hours training from English to learn romanian.
- Training on non-formal education techniques and tools.
- Workshops - specific topics related to project activities.
- Different Team building activities.
Volunteer Perks:
If you join this volunteer, you will have:
- stay for 11 months in a twin room (2 single beds).
- a shared kitchen.
- receive monthly money dedicated to meals (5 EUR – food allowance/day).
- pocket money too (3 EUR/day).
- international travel covering.
- subscriptions to public transport in Oradea.
