Opportunity description
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Türkiye is offering 6 volunteer opportunities through the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme for the position of Case Worker, supporting protection, migration, and social integration programmes in Türkiye.
Volunteers will work within a programme that supports Syrians under temporary protection and individuals under international protection in Türkiye in accessing employment opportunities and strengthening their social and economic integration. The role focuses on case management, individual counselling, referral follow-up, documenting beneficiary information, identifying protection risks, and preparing reports.
There are 6 vacancies, with 3 positions in Gaziantep and 3 positions in Kahramanmaraş. The assignment lasts 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

Duties & responsibilities
Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring project activities.
Collect, summarize, analyze, and present project-related information and data.
Conduct individual counselling sessions with participants in the Voluntary Mobility for Employment programme.
Apply protection and voluntariness principles when providing guidance to beneficiaries.
Keep case files and case management data continuously updated.
Ensure accurate documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with data protection standards.
Identify protection, safety, or operational risks related to individual cases and report them to the relevant officials.
Contribute to risk assessments and the development of appropriate mitigation measures.
Prepare case reports, identify gaps in activity implementation, and suggest corrective actions.
Prepare correspondence, memoranda, reports, statistical tables, and other project-related documents.
Respond to requests for information and complex inquiries.
Create and maintain beneficiary and project files and records.
Perform any other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must be between 18 and 60 years old.
Hold a bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
Political or Social Sciences
International Relations
Social Services
Psychology
Migration Studies
Law
Or a related field
Have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
Fluency in Turkish is required.
Fluency in Arabic is required.
Working knowledge of English is considered an advantage.
Be willing and able to travel when required.
