United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Egypt: Programme Assistant.
Duration:
12 months (with possibility of extension)
Duties & responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of administrative work concerning the implementation of technical programmes
- Follow up on the technical requests from Member States and ensure timely response
- Assist in the coordination and management of technical programme planning and budgeting as well as implementation
- Coordinate the preparation of technical meetings related to health priority areas
Eligibility criteria
Age: 27 - 80
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- 3 years of experience in programme management, or other relevant programmes.
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Excellent reporting skills.
- Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent teamwork capacities.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel.
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet;
- familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment.
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.

Required education level:
Master degree or equivalent in Administration and Business management or area related to programme coordination and management.
