United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity: Technical officer in Egypt.
Duration:
- Expected start date: 03/09/2023
- Expected end date: 03/01/2024
Duties & responsibilities
- Strengthen the regional network of students’ organizations and identify initiatives to promote rational use of antibiotics
- Facilitate participation in World Antimicrobial resistance Awareness week (WAAW)
- Manage a competition among students/students’ groups on creating online promotional materials (short videos and social media posts) and sharing creative ideas to enhance use of the WHO’s AWaRe antibiotic book.
- Assist the supervisor in reviewing and ranking materials developed by the students for the competition
- Draft a report to summarize the results of above activities.
- Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor.
Eligibility criteria
Age: 18 - 26
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.

Required education level:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in in medicine, dental, pharmacy, nursing, media, or communications programmes.
