Opportunity description

United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Iraq: Criminal Database Analyst.

Duration:

7 months

Duties & responsibilities

Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports
Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools
Transform structured data from spreadsheets into into standardized delimited-text files for loading into crime-data analysis and e‑discovery databases
Identify and analyze errors and inconsistencies in data and provide timely resolutions
Translate data results into written reports, link charts, timelines, or presentations to provide information to management and investigation teams

Eligibility criteria

Age: 27 - 80

Nationality: Candidate must be a national of a country other than the country of assignment.

Required experience:

3 years of experience in I2 Analyst Notebook & iBase database experience, or similar data-modelling experience
Experience in big-data management and/or scripting in ‘R’ or Python
Data analysis in a security, law firm, law enforcement, or military setting
Excellent oral-presentation, drafting
Formulation, and reporting skills
Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision
Work under tight deadlines.

English, Level: Fluent, Required
Arabic, Level: Working knowledge, Desirable

Required education level:

Bachelor degree or equivalent in I2 Analyst Notebook & iBase database experience, or similar data-modelling experience.
