United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Iraq: Criminal Database Analyst.
Duration:
7 months
Duties & responsibilities
- Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports
- Provide technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools
- Transform structured data from spreadsheets into into standardized delimited-text files for loading into crime-data analysis and e‑discovery databases
- Identify and analyze errors and inconsistencies in data and provide timely resolutions
- Translate data results into written reports, link charts, timelines, or presentations to provide information to management and investigation teams
Eligibility criteria
Age: 27 - 80
Nationality: Candidate must be a national of a country other than the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- 3 years of experience in I2 Analyst Notebook & iBase database experience, or similar data-modelling experience
- Experience in big-data management and/or scripting in ‘R’ or Python
- Data analysis in a security, law firm, law enforcement, or military setting
- Excellent oral-presentation, drafting
- Formulation, and reporting skills
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision
- Work under tight deadlines.
Languages:
English, Level: Fluent, Required
Arabic, Level: Working knowledge, Desirable
Required education level:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in I2 Analyst Notebook & iBase database experience, or similar data-modelling experience.
