United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Iraq: Translator.
Duration:
5 months
Duties & responsibilities
- Interpret from Arabic into English and vice versa during trainings period.
- Document Review in UNODC database and reporting
- Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor
Eligibility criteria
Age: 27 - 80
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- 5 years of experience in the national and/or international level in drugdrug trafficking or control ivery delivery, or other relevant programmes
- Experience with reporting is an asset, as is experience working in the UN or other international development organization;
- Other desired/mandatory required technical knowledge
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Excellent drafting, formulation, reporting skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work with tight deadlines.
- Sound security awareness;

Bachelor degree or equivalent in Translation, and interpretation, or are related to Drugs and Crime;
