United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Iraq as a Translator.
Duration:
3 months (with possibility of extension)
Duties & responsibilities
- Interpret from Arabic into English and vice versa during trainings period.
- Document Review in UNODC database and reporting
- Any other related tasks as may be required or assigned by the supervisor
Eligibility criteria
Age: 27- 80
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- 5 years of experience in at the national and/or international level in drugdrug trafficking or control ivery delivery, or other relevant programm
- Experience working in the UN or other international development organization
- Other desired/mandatory required technical knowledge
- Excellent computer literacy skills (MS Office; Windows; Internet).
- Excellent communications, report writing, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in producing communication materials and drafting content for various platforms, including social media, websites, and publications.
- Previous UN experience is a plus;
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel;
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision and with tight deadlines;
Languages:
- English, Level: Fluent, Required
Required education level:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Translation, Interpretation, Drugs and Crime.
