United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Jordan: Assistant Field Monitor.
Duration:
12 months (with possibility of extension)
Duties & responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the development of and training on quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis tools, techniques and approaches.
- Participate in quantitative and qualitative data collection exercises using paper, computer or phone-based applications.
- Support documentation and dissemination of key findings stemming from monitoring, assessments, and other data collection activities.
- Support compilation and analysis of field monitoring products to produce actionable insights for management use.
- Support translation of monitoring data and information to English.
- Conduct data quality assurance checks to ensure completeness, authenticity, and timeliness of performance monitoring data.
- Contribute to submission of project information for approval by MOPIC using the JORISS platform as requested by the supervisor and section chief.
- Perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the supervisor and chief of section.
Eligibility criteria
Age: 18 - 26
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- 2 years of experience in a relevant area (Social Sciences, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics or Demography), in combination with relevant training.
Languages:
- Arabic, Level: Fluent, Required
- English, Level: Working knowledge, Required
Required education level:
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, Economics, Information Technology, Statistics or Demography.
