United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity: Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist.
Duration:
5 months (with possibility of extension)
Duties & responsibilities
- Assist in the development of monitoring and evaluation plans and tools, including data collection forms and data analysis templates
- Assist in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data
- Conduct field visits to monitor the quality of data collection
- Participate in the design and implementation of surveys and assessments
- Support the monitoring and evaluation officer in the preparation of reports and presentations, including data visualization and report writing
- Support on monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual reporting requirements
- Carry out other duties and responsibilities related to M&E as assigned by the supervisor.
Eligibility criteria
Age: 27 - 80
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- 3 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, research, data collection and analysis, and report writing
- Analytical knowledge, including knowledge of Microsoft applications and data analysis software such as Excel, SPSS, R, or other.
- Excellent oral and written skills; excellent reporting skills
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to work with tight deadlines
Languages:
- English, Level: Fluent, Desirable
- Arabic, Level: Fluent, Desirable
Required education level:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in social sciences, statistics, public health, development studies or related field.
