United Nations Volunteers programme is offering a volunteer opportunity in Palestine: Field Coordinator.
Duration:
9 months (with possibility of extension)
Duties & responsibilities
- Providing support to the project analyst in following up and monitoring the implementation of projects by civil society organizations.
- Preparing reports on field visits conducted by the program staff to partner institutions.
- Follow up on receiving and archiving administrative and financial reports from partner institutions and in reviewing CSOs narrative reports.
- Providing support to the project analyst in implementing activities related to the Palestinian Police and ADR.
- Prepares TORs, Concept notes and minutes of meetings.
- Supporting the team in preparing for workshops, meetings and filed visits.
- Support other/ad hoc activities as seen relevant and needed.
Eligibility criteria
Age: 18 - 80
Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of the country of assignment.
Required experience:
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Accuracy and professionalism in document production and editing;
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment
- Solid overall computer literacy, including proficiency in various MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and email/internet; familiarity with database management; and office technology equipment;
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision; ability to work with tight deadlines;
- Sound security awareness.

- English, Level: Fluent, Required
- Arabic, Level: Mother tongue, Required
Required education level:
- Bachelor degree or equivalent in social policy/science, Law, human rights, business administration/management, public administration, international relations.
