Opportunity description

This initiative, known as Inclusion through Educational and Therapeutic Intervention, is implemented by the Inspire Foundation in the town of Żejtun, Malta, under the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program. It focuses on promoting social inclusion, education, and therapeutic support for people with disabilities through a variety of activities such as arts, multi-sensory sessions, swimming, equine-assisted therapy, and more.

Volunteering Description

Volunteers will work as part of Inspire’s teams to support programs for people with disabilities, including educational, sports, therapeutic, and recreational sessions.

Volunteering is on an individual basis under the ESC program, with a minimum expected commitment of 54 weeks.

Application Deadlines

  • Project duration: From June 11, 2025, to September 30, 2026 (54 weeks).
  • Application deadline: June 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM (Malta time).

Duties & responsibilities

  • Full financial support: Shared furnished accommodation, food allowance, a prepaid local transportation card, and personal expenses (pocket money).
  • Travel costs: Reimbursement for return travel (flight ticket).
  • Professional training: Includes initial orientation, in-house training with professionals from Inspire, workshops and sessions with the national ESC agency, and language learning support if needed.
  • Gaining experience: Opportunities to work in a multidisciplinary environment, develop communication and support skills, and increase future employability prospects.

Eligibility criteria

  • A passion for supporting and helping others, especially individuals with disabilities.
  • Strong command of the English language, as it is used in daily communication.
  • Team spirit and commitment, along with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
