By the end of the workshop, the little creatives will witness their ideas come to life as physical objects.
Eligibility criteria
The Participants should have the desire to:
- Discover the fascinating history of concrete and explore its creative potential as a modeling medium.
- Learn about concrete's invention and its uses in construction.
- Dive into the making of simple molds, getting creative with geometric shapes made from balsa wood. After mixing their own concrete, participants will pour it into their molds.
- Witness their ideas come to life as physical objects.
About Tashkeel:
Latifa bint Maktoum established the Tashkeel Center in Dubai in 2008 to provide an incubating environment for the development of contemporary art and design practices in the United Arab Emirates. The center opens the door to creative and experimental practices and dialogue between practitioners and the community at large, as it provides multidisciplinary studios, work spaces and exhibitions in Nad Al Sheba and Al Fahidi neighbourhood.
