Y4S Future Leaders Program in Sustainability and Climate Action

Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) announces the Future Sustainability Leaders program, an annual program designed for university students and young professionals interested in sustainability, climate action, innovation, and clean energy.

The program runs for 12 months and brings participants together with global business leaders, policymakers, technology experts, and sustainability specialists. It aims to equip them with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience needed to become influential leaders in sustainability and climate action.

The program combines virtual and in-person activities, workshops, professional mentorship, international events, and innovation programs. It begins each year in conjunction with Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) in January.

• No application or participation fees.
• A 12-month program.
• Opportunity to connect with global experts in sustainability and climate action.
• One-on-one mentoring sessions with experts and business leaders.
• Specialized workshops and lectures in sustainability, innovation, leadership, and clean energy.
• Participation in local, regional, and international events and forums.
• Opportunity to take part in innovation challenges and programs related to sustainability and climate.
• Development of leadership, communication, innovative thinking, and teamwork skills.
• Building a network with young people and professionals from different countries around the world.
• The program is open to participants from inside and outside the United Arab Emirates.

• The applicant must be a university student or a young professional.
• The applicant must be Emirati or an international student.
• The applicant must hold a university degree or be currently studying for a university degree at an accredited institution.
• Applications are open to all academic disciplines.
• The applicant must have an excellent level of spoken English.
• The applicant must be interested in sustainability, climate action, innovation, energy, or sustainable development.
• The applicant must be able to commit to the program requirements for 12 months.
• The applicant must attend virtual activities and sessions and participate in the program’s events.
• The applicant must complete the e-learning modules within the Skill Up Series.
• The applicant must participate in the Y4S Innovate 4 Climate Challenge.
• The applicant must have a spirit of initiative, teamwork, and the ability to engage with others.
