Opportunity description
Register for the training program for journalists, media students, and content creators organized by the Maharat Foundation, aimed at enhancing fact-checking practices, strengthening media and information literacy skills, and increasing the ability to design and lead awareness campaigns against misinformation and hate speech. The program targets 50 young men and women aged 18–30.
Program Topics:
- Media misinformation and political propaganda in the context of elections.
- Detection of AI-generated bots, fabricated content, and deepfake techniques.
- Critical media literacy.
- Online election campaigns and emotional manipulation techniques.
- Voter rights, transparency, and integrity of election information.
- Gender-based misinformation and hate speech.
Eligibility criteria
- Must be a media or journalism student at a university.
- Must be a journalist or digital content creator.
- Must be an activist in civil society organizations or a volunteer working in the media field.
- Age must be between 18 and 30 years.
- Must be a Lebanese national.
