Opportunity description
The Zonta International Amelia Earhart Fellowship is awarded annually to up to 30 women pursuing a doctoral degree in aerospace science or engineering. Fellows are awarded up to $10,000 and the scholarship can be used at any accredited university offering graduate programs in the field. The fellowship aims to support women’s representation in the aerospace industry, where they make up only about 25% of the workforce. The application deadline is November 15, 2024.

Eligibility criteria
Women of any nationality seeking a Ph.D. in:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Space Sciences
Eligibility requirements include:
- Outstanding academic record
- Enrollment in a full-time Ph.D. program
- Completion of one academic year or possession of a master’s degree in applied space science
Additional conditions:
- Must not graduate before April 2026
- Members of Zonta, its employees, or their family members are not eligible to apply
- Previous fellows cannot apply for fellowship renewal
