Event of the second edition of the Mediterranean Youth Academy in Egypt 2023

The Mediterranean Youth Foundation for Development, with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, is pleased to announce the launch of the events of the second edition of the "Mediterranean Youth Academy" project, in partnership with civil, governmental, and international organizations. Where the “Mediterranean Youth Academy” seeks to give 120 opportunities to qualify and prepare young people in the second phase, through a training program that is offered for a week, which aims to enhance awareness of Mediterranean issues and the challenges facing the Mediterranean countries, and to involve young people in facing those issues and challenges. Through your participation in these events, you will have the opportunity to learn about the successful experiences of some Mediterranean countries in various fields and the possibility of their application in Egypt.

If you are given the opportunity to participate in this program, you will have:

• Covering the costs of training, accommodation and subsistence.
• Informational and logistical support on internal transportation from the arrival station/airport in Egypt to the place of implementation of the program.
• The opportunity to extend the length of stay after the end of the program for the purpose of tourism, at your own expense, and great offers and discounts can be offered on accommodation.
• Invitations to those accepted to support the visa application in case of need.
• Open horizons for discussion with others and have more networking opportunities to find innovative solutions to various issues.

Note: The program does not bear the costs of transportation/flight or entry visa to Egypt in case of need.

You must follow the following criteria:

• Hold citizenship or have permanent residence in one of the friendly countries that are members of the Union for the Mediterranean.
• Your age as of March 1, 2022, is between 18-29 years.
• Possess communication skills in English, at level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
• You undertake to commit to attending the program in full 100%.
• When selecting, geographic balance and equitable representation of young people of both sexes will be taken into account.
• The organizers encourage young men and women with less access to opportunities who live in rural, borderline, or informal areas and face social, geographic, economic, or physical challenges.

About the Mediterranean Youth Foundation:

 Mediterranean Youth Foundation is the first youth organization with a Mediterranean orientation, launched from the Arab Republic of Egypt and led by young people, and aims to enhance youth service, by involving them in social life, especially young people who have less access to opportunities; To enhance their participation in building youth-friendly societies.
