Opportunity description

Tashkeel is pleased to announce a workshop entitled; Collography, and invites you to join in an artistic adventure that delves into the intricacies of Collagraphy. The workshop will start off with an insightful introduction to the art form. Under the instructor's guidance, ink application becomes an art in itself, skillfully administered with brushes, the spotlight then shifts to the art of even ink distribution, a pivotal factor for achieving high-quality prints. As plates and paper meet, the transformation is awe-inspiring, showcasing participants' creativity in tangible form. By the end of the workshop, participants will share their insights and experiences, solidifying their artistic growth and carrying home their unique collagraph prints.

About the Trainer:

Ali Al Ali holds a High Diploma in Aviation Sciences from Emirates Airline University. After a successful decade-long career as an Emirates pilot, his diverse background led him to pursue a career in jewelry design and visual art. In 2021, he received his professional designer certificate from HRD Antwerp in partnership with Dubai Design Academy. In 2022, Ali joined the Emirates Fine Arts Society and pursued his interest in printmaking collagraph artwork at the Sharjah Art Institute. His innovative jewellery designs have garnered recognition, including two Ebda’a Awards where he was placed first in the pearl design category and second in Emirati design. He is currently collaborating with Ceska Mincovna, a Czech company specialized in creating commemorative coins.

You must follow the following criteria:

  • The program is open to (15) participants.
  • Location: Tashkeel Makerspace - Alserkal Avenue (Warehouse 89).
  • Fees: AED 680.00 (+VAT).
