About the organization
Founded in 1963 by Fernand Braudel in Paris and chaired by Michel Wieviorka since 2009, the Foundation Maison des sciences de l’homme (FMSH) is both a national and international crossroad which contributes to the development, vibrancy, and attractivity of social sciences and humanities. The FMSH invests in the advancement of scientific research at the best international level by developing its actions and services through four main priorities: cutting-edge research, international collaborations, innovative dissemination of knowledge, and digital infrastructures. Moreover, it takes part in the major projects and networks that transform shape and structure, at all levels, the landscape of the research in social sciences and humanities.
