About the organization
The National Cancer Research Center (CNIO) was created in 1998 by the Instituto de Salud Carlos III. Although it was founded by the Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs, the CNIO has been integrated since the end of 2011 with the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness .
