Opportunity description
Frontier Economics offers a full-time internship opportunity in Germany, that in all offices typically runs for 8 to 12 weeks but it also offers longer internships from 6 to 12 months typically to those who have already obtained their undergraduate or postgraduate degree. Frontier now is looking for interns to start from any time or who want to start earlier in 2022. You will have the chance during your internship to find yourself working in project teams with Analysts, Consultants, and Directors. You will receive guidance, feedback, and support throughout your internship. After your internship, you can apply to become an Analyst.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering a robust and accurate technical or theoretical analysis in a timely way, guided by more experienced consultants.
- Contributing to the writing of reports or notes, written in a logical and well-structured manner.
- Applying economic frameworks, ranging from economic equilibrium theory to econometric modeling.
- Developing your Excel, Stata, and modeling skills.
- Working collaboratively with your project team/s as appropriate.
- Managing your own work and time to ensure you meet the agreed project deadlines, seeking advice from more experienced consultants as required.
- Work with Frontier economists across EMEA.

Eligibility criteria
You should have:
- Will obtain a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree and will have/or be due to have a master's with a focus on one of the following topics: Economics/Engineering/Finance (or equivalent).
- Strong interest and understanding of microeconomics.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Fluency in German is beneficial but not a requirement.
