Opportunity description
United Nation is offering an Internship Opportunity in Social Sciences. Possible areas of work include women's economic empowerment, climate change and human mobility, urban development, social protection, disability, sustainable development monitoring and reporting. Specific duties can be tailored to match interns' interest.
Responsibilities:
- Basic research on aspects related to women's economic empowerment, climate change and human mobility, urban development, social protection, disability, sustainable development monitoring
- Preparation of various written outputs, draft papers,inputs to publications
- Substantive support to the implementation of technical cooperation projects
- Support to the organization of meetings/seminars/workshops

Education:
- Be enrolled in a graduate school program (second university degree or equivalent, or higher)
- Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree program (Bachelor’s level or equivalent)
- Have graduated with a university degree, if selected, must commence the internship within a one-year period of graduation.
Period:
(37.5 hours a week) for a duration of 2 - 6 months
Languages:
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
- Knowledge of an additional official UN language is an asset. Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish
