Opportunity description

Disney is offering an exceptional internship opportunity for undergraduate students and graduates from all over the world in Community Management for the Spring of 2020 in the United States. The Customer Success Team is focused on helping employees get the most out of the tools and applications Disney uses to get jobs done. Disney’s role is a combination of communications, marketing, customer support, training and development, coaching and a passion for both technology and people.

Responsibilities:

  1. You might spend the morning training a Studios employee how to use a new mobile application, and then the afternoon writing a Tips document for a social platform, with a meeting showing a new technology to a team at Parks and Resorts in between. You’ll enjoy a mix of daily and weekly tasks, small and large projects, and an opportunity to suggest and implement projects, too.
  2. Moderate and respond to comments in online social tools.
  3. Attend events to promote online social tools and initiatives.
  4. Is familiar and comfortable with updating (non-programming related), navigating and utilizing software tools, including understanding the terms of use/service for each.
  5. Reply to support queries via email, phone, and online.
  6. Works with Community Manager to develop and implement community promotion and engagement strategies and tactics.
  7. Maintain community training resources, guidelines, and policies.
  8. Identify and report on community trends to internal team on regular basis

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Very strong written and verbal communication skills
  2. Actively participates in a wide variety of social media activities such as blogging, community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, etc. Experience managing a brand or product page on a social platform is an asset.
  3. Basic HTML skills.
  4. Good customer relationship/customer service skills.
  5. Team player, able to work well and efficiently with cross functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Photoshop and other design tools is an asset.
  2. Experience with analytics or metrics software, such as Tableau, is an asset.
  3. Experience with Jive, Yammer, Slack, or Office 365 is an asset.
  4. Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program.
  5. Recent graduate in, or pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Human Computer Interaction, Informatics, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related fields.
  6. Must be at least 18 years of age
  7. Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
  8. Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  9. Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from January 2020 to June 2020.
  10. Availability: Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship.
  11. Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
  12. Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
