Internship at Tech Tribes in Jordan: Data Entry and Management

Tech Tribes offers an internship opportunity as a Data Entry and Management intern. This should be an exciting opportunity for a fresh graduate or a university student who is interested in learning more about data and database management in the development sector. The Intern will be exposed to how databases and data management help implement communication strategies and achieve communication and outreach goals.

Responsibilities:

1. Keep databases up to date.
2. Help with database design and development.
3. Ensure that databases meet user requirements.
4. Transfer data from paper formats into electronic files or database systems when needed.
5. Compile data gathered directly from beneficiaries in concise timely manners.
6. Create spreadsheets with large data, numbers, and categories.
7. Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
8. Perform regular database updates.
9. Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
10. Perform regular backups to ensure data loss.
11. Verify data and correct data when necessary.
12. Develop strategies/tactics to obtain missing information for incomplete documents.
13. Comply with data integrity and security policies.

Requirements:

1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and/or English.
2. Excellent knowledge of standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
3. Knowledge/experience/interest in social media, specifically Facebook/Twitter/Instagram Analytics.
4. Good judgment, initiative, high sense of responsibility, tact and discretion.
5. Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
6. Ability to quickly understand instructions, asks for clarification when needed, adapt and work independently to produce results on time.
7. Strong interpersonal skills.

Payment:

Tech Tribes will not pay for services as an Intern and all the expenses connected with these services must be borne by them. There is no expectancy of employment at the end of the internship. Tech Tribes will provide the selected intern with a letter of certification upon completion of the internship duration and deliverables. Although overseas applicants are welcome to apply, Tech Tribes is not responsible for obtaining any necessary visas.
