Opportunity description
Tech Tribes is offering an internship in Graphic Design. This should be an exciting opportunity for a graphic design graduate or an individual with relevant experience wanting to make a career change in to nonprofit and development sectors. The intern will work closely with the Lead Graphic Designer and the Head of Programs Development to help design one of Tech Tribes Training Manuals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts in designing one of Tech Tribes Training Manuals.
- Contribute with creative ideas to reach out to and engage different audiences.
- Advance Tech Tribes’ effort in knowledge sharing by designing infographics and text-in-motion videos.
- Support the Lead Graphic Designer in finalizing visual designs and interactive audio-visual content for the newsletter and various social media platforms.
- Perform any other tasks requested by the Lead Graphic Designer and Communication Team.
Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and/or English.
- Knowledge of designing for the web.
- Excellent skills in using design software applications: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign.
- Knowledge of standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Knowledge/experience/interest in social media, specifically Facebook/Twitter/Instagram and how to design with user engagement in mind.
- Good judgment, initiative, high sense of responsibility, tact, and discretion.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
- Ability to quickly understand instructions, asks for clarification when needed, adapt, and work independently to produce results on time.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Salary/Payment:
Tech Tribes will not pay for services as an Intern and all the expenses connected with these services must be borne by them. There is no expectancy of employment at the end of the internship. Tech Tribes will provide the selected intern with a letter of certification upon completion of the internship duration and deliverables. Although overseas applicants are welcome to apply, Tech Tribes is not responsible for obtaining any necessary visas.
