Job Opening in Jordan: Photographer and Content Writer at Souq Fann

Souq Fann is looking to hire a creative Production Assistant to work within their headquarters in Amman, Jordan. Souq Fann is an easy-to-use online platform where people can find Jordan’s best handmade and locally-produced goods, gifts, and treasures. Souq Fann provides a platform for small-scale artists and artisans to share and sell their work online.

Responsibilities:

A successful Production Assistant is able to work on tight deadlines. He/She provides quality content in
Arabic and pictures conform to the requirements. This includes:

Photography

• Taking pictures of new products for the platform (light-box and set-up)
• Taking pictures of vendors (portrait and making-process phases)
• Photographing events and training
• Editing pictures by using the professional photo editor software

Content Writing

• Meeting with vendors and collecting their stories
• Writing the stories of vendors in Arabic
• Writing the descriptions of products in Arabic

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Excellent Arabic writing skills
• Excellent photography skills (products and portraits)
• Excellent ability to follow precise instructions
• Excellent capacity to work on tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with many different types of people
• Strong sense of creativity
• An appreciation of Jordan’s artistic and handicraft sector, and an understanding of relevant cultural and
  economic factors
• Unwavering attention to detail and drive to succeed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in good standing from an accredited university
• At least 1-year experience in the field
• Other Requirements
  In addition to the above, the successful candidate must be:
• Eligible to work in Jordan
• Committed to Souq Fann’s mission and vision
• Able to work on the weekends and outside Amman

 This position is available immediately. The successful candidate will sign a three-month contract.
