Opportunity description

Siemens announces its need for a Quality Officer for its location in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in order to work in the Riyadh Metro Project in a full-time job.

Eligibility:

  • You should have electrical, industrial or IT engineering education.
  • You must have good skills in the office package.
  • You should have a broad knowledge of the technical management tools, calculation and simulation methods.
  • You must have the capacity to work in a team, critical faculty and analysis.
  • You should be initiative and decision minded.
  • You must have a team spirit approach and good communication skills.
  • You must be fluent in English.

Your Responsibilities:

As a member of the MM Quality Team, you will:

  1. Monitor and evaluate the Signalling and the CIS Installation and T&C Team documentation baselines.
  2. Execute daily site quality patrols together with the customer and construction partners.
  3. Analyze findings on-site and define the correct steps for resolution.
  4. Correct Assignment of CR and NCR.
  5. Quality Patrols on-site to capture and assign quality issues.
  6. Collect, verify and compile Installation-Acceptance and T&C protocols.
  7. Compile and provide milestone documentation to the commercial team for invoicing purposes.
  8. Visualize and report the progress based on the milestone documentation.

About Siemens:

The Siemens Tram Consortium (STC) is currently building the flagship Tram system, called the People Mover System (PMS) for Qatar Education City (QEC) in Doha/Qatar. The People Mover System (PMS) is the first low floor catenary-free tram system in the world. It uses a Hybrid Energy System (HES) which incorporates a combination of supercapacitors and batteries to power the tram between charging locations along the line. It is manually operated on line of sight rules and the system is being designed in compliance with BO Strab regulations and guidance. There is 11 km of track serving both North and South Campuses of Education City and will employ 19 trams using the Avenio tram chassis by Siemens.
