Facebook is offering a job opportunity within the Business Integrity team as a User Experience Researcher in the company’s headquarters in California, USA. The Business Integrity team strives to make Facebook a positive experience for people and businesses. This means providing ways to help good advertisers connect their products, services, and content with the people that want them, and making it harder for bad actors to take advantage of the platform. Facebook’s research team supports that mission through a mix of qualitative and quantitative methodologies to better understand the needs, goals, and behaviors of both advertisers and people on Facebook. The company is looking for researchers that share a passion for helping to make the website a safe place for people and businesses to connect across the world. The right applicants will be knowledgeable about UX design and research methods, succinct communicators, and care about fostering safe and trustworthy social ecosystems, comfortable in a fast-moving organization, excited to collaborate, and focused squarely on impacting the Facebook experience.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute custom research to support the objectives of the advertising business.
- Represent the voice of the advertiser – large and small – to internal teams.
- Employ creative and innovative research methods to understand advertiser needs.
- Translate research findings into insights.
- Communicate effectively to drive action and inspire new ideas.
- Conduct internal data analysis to support research initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Psychology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience conducting research on user experiences.
- Experience in quantitative methods, qualitative methods, or both.
- Experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Product Design, Data Science/Analytics, and Marketing and involving them in the research process.
- Communication and presentation experience with a proven track record of influencing teams to action.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Psychology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience related to advertising.
- Understands the strengths and limitations of different research methodologies and how to apply them throughout the design lifecycle.
- Proven ability to synthesize data from multiple sources in order to best represent user needs.
