Job Opportunity in Qatar at Qatar Airways: Aircraft Engineer in Doha

Qatar Airways is offering a Job opportunity to work as an Aircraft Engineer. You will be responsible for the performance of the maintenance on allocated aircraft. Your core responsibility is to ensure timely and quality performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on the aircraft is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety in the most productive and cost-effective manner using available resources at his disposal.

Responsibilities:

1. Performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities out to the highest standards of quality and safety
2. Manage, encourage and motivate your team to perform the tasks required. 
3. Determine materials, tooling, support required to perform assigned maintenance tasks.
4. Manage inspections and define priorities of defects to be rectified
5. Identify the skill sets required and coordinate the effective use of pool personnel.
6. find solutions to the defects to ensure resolution to company policies and standards
7. Advise of any impending issues or areas of concern that may have an impact on aircraft.
8. Responsible for the final release of work while ensuring tasks are performed
9. Review work procedures and standards to propose improvements to ensure work processes are effective.
10. Implement solutions to technical problems within his range of operations.
11. Provide assistance to develop and prepare maintenance work 
12. Provide guidance on job training for technicians and mechanics.
13. Ensure aircraft maintenance tasks are accomplished in accordance with company policies and procedures, with a focus on documenting maintenance activities.
14. Work together with vendors and supplier to find solutions to defects problems affecting the operation of the aircraft
15. Perform tasks instructed by Maintenance Manager

 Qualifications:

1. Recognized Diploma or Associate Degree or Equivalent,
2. Holder of Valid ICAO Type II license
3. One QE aircraft type authorization issued 
4. 6 years of aircraft maintenance experience with a minimum of 3 years as a certifying licensed engineer

1. Strong organizational and leadership skills
2. Ability to make clear, rational decisions under pressure
3. Determining the appropriate tool(s) and equipment to perform the task
4. Sound knowledge of aircraft defects with strong troubleshooting skills
5. Ability to read instruments to determine correct system function
6. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team
7. Practical outlook to determine the most suitable solution
8. Read, understand instructions from technical manuals and documents
9. Good communication skills in written and spoken English
10. Professional manner with high-level positions
11. Good communications and negotiating skills
12. Ability to work under pressure
13. Ability to travel anywhere in the world
