Job Opportunity in UAE: CMT Executive at Aramex

Aramex is seeking to hire a Senior Chief Marketing Technologist (CMT) Executive to join the team and work with the team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for 2020-2021. 

Purpose of the Job:

1. Corporate Pricing Desk Team executive will need the ability to carry out procuring the best cost and selling negotiations, work with pricing tool or spreadsheets and run or participate in cost related meetings with airlines, shipping lines and suppliers. 
2. As a pricing team executive, he/she will negotiate service contract freight rates and terms and conditions. They also need to respond to spot shipment rate requests and implement tariffs.
3. This role requires the post holder to regularly report on status of inquiries either weekly or monthly on the list of inquiries win or lost. 
4. Support the product development & Growth acceleration in terms of day-to-day adhoc freight inquiries.
5. Solutions based approach.
6. Revenue as key enabler while Profits are intact.
7. Weekly & On time reporting / Data reconciliation related to price inquiries.
8. Sales support.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Manage and monitor the end-to-end process from the time inquiry is received from the customer to Sales or Customer Success teams and time taken to quote or to provide cost for a shipment.
2. Aggressively participate in freight rates negotiations by working closely with carriers and liners, transporters, agents and counterparts to acquire the best rates in the market.
3. Develop and build solid relationships with carriers, agents and counterparts, at all levels, seeking best fit to secure the necessary rates and space agreements 
4. Follow up closely with customer success teams and identify target rates. 
5. Review customer needs through regular calls to keep a solid and strong relationship with them and to keep their inquiries flowing.
6. Help determine new services that we can develop by understanding the needs of the customers and keeping an eye on market including competitors’ activity, port developments and trade lanes growth 
7. Follow up with airlines / shipping lines for spot rates ex: reduction in rates on specific trade lane due to capacity issues.
8. Weekly reports to the stations on inquiries handled with win/loss status report.
9. Update FTS or system with costs or rates sheet as and when available or prior to expiry 
10. Work and Implement team KPI’s and /or SLA’s.

Job Requirements (Experience and Education):

1. Freight forwarding industry experience is a must, preferably based in UAE.
2. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Sea freight product / operations background.
3. Strong written and verbal communications skills required.
4. Bachelor's degree is a must.
5. Proficiency on MS Excel is a must.
