Job Opportunity in USA for Story Artists in Disney

Walt Disney Company is looking for a few good Story Artists to join in the company’s long-running legacy of touching audiences worldwide through a diverse array of memorable characters and emotional stories. You will work with a passionate team who push and inspire each other to solve creative problems and support each other’s craft to be all that it can be.  Walt Disney Animation Studios first developed the craft of storyboarding in the 1930s to explore ideas and bring them to visual life. Over 90 years later, it still values the power of a well-crafted story and strives to knock its audience’s socks off with every film.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate directly with Directors, Heads of Story, and other artists across departments to brainstorm ideas, shape the company’s films through visual sequences, and develop cinematography, staging, and cutting.
2. A sensibility and knowledge of how to best serve the structure of a movie, from the overall theme to a single scene.
3. Awareness of where to add emotion or humor as necessary to the story.
4. Tackle story and structure problems and maximize entertainment value where needed.

Requirements:

1. Ability to work collaboratively.
2. Professional experience is required.
3.  Feature Animation experience (preferred)
4. Ability to work digitally (preferred).
5. Ability to create emotion, action, and humor expressed through drawing.
6. Experience on multiple Feature Films, Television Series, Comics, or Games as a Story Artist.
7. Strong drawing skills with a sense of uniquely subtle character acting, design, appeal, and composition.
8. Understanding of cinematic scene and dramatic structure.
9. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
