Opportunity description

Qatar Aviation Services is looking for a qualified Lead Load Control Officer to join the team in Doha, Qatar for 2019. 

Responsibilities:

  1. In this role as Lead Load Control Officer, you will be required to update and check contingency procedures and contents of BCP, based on data gathered, and QAS/airline requirements. 
  2. You will plan, conduct and evaluate BCP exercises: instruct and supervise participants, thus controlling adherence to procedures. 
  3. You will provide significant contribution and corrective actions in the identification and development of BCP practices, based on the BCP exercise evaluation.
  4. Based on the data collected, you will need to compile and consolidate the data to generate reports to help facilitate the Management to take important decisions. 
  5. Also, you will act as BCP manager in case of a live situation: plan, organize, monitor, give directions, allocate tasks and liaise with all stakeholders.
  6. You will conduct investigations, conclude and report the incident(s) and accident(s) involving Qatar Aviation Services resources as well as instances of service lapse due to Qatar Aviation Services. 
  7. You will provide effective ideas and suggestions based on facts and analysis related to safety, operational effectiveness, efficiency, potential profit & cost-benefit. All while enhancing Qatar Aviation Services business performance by identifying project requirements, analyzing operations, determining project scope and documenting results.
  8. Other responsibilities include checking and correcting all manual load sheets, discuss any errors with staff and decide about any retraining need. 
  9. You will create monthly recency exercises based on airlines’ requirements, compliant with iGOM.
  10.  You will present all the above information during audits or whenever required. 
  11. Cover Load Control Officers responsibilities whenever necessary, create and update the roster and daily shift allocations for Load Control officers.

Requirements:

  1. To be considered for this role you must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent, have user knowledge of Amadeus Altea FM and a good understanding of BCP procedures with minimum 5 years of job-related experience with an Airline/Airport/ Ground Handling company. 
  2. You should have experience dealing with Airline Representative, external Agencies/Authorities and experience in handling disruptions or surge in operations due to holiday/peaks.
  3. You should have excellent report writing and presentation skills with fluency in written & spoken English and proficiency in MS office. 
  4. You will have extensive knowledge of all areas of airline/airport operations including an understanding of the General Conditions of Carriage, International Civil Aviation Safety and security practices as stipulated by ICAO/IATA and safety policy of the company.
  5. Integrity, ingenuity, and inventiveness in the performance of assigned tasks are key aspects of this role.
