Job Vacancy at Amazon in Dubai: Software Development Engineer

Amazon Middle East and North Africa invites application for a Software Development Manager role in Dubai, UAE with Souq.com which is the largest eCommerce site in the Arab world and it's an Amazon Company.

Responsibilities:

They are seeking a Software Development Engineer who is passionate about building great products for customers. They aim to continually raise the bar on customer experience. As a Software Development Engineer on the team, you will be part of a team that is responsible for owning large customer-facing features from inception to delivery and beyond. Engineers on their team are expected to accomplish tasks in internet time while, at the same time, pushing the technical envelope. Their engineers enjoy working as a team and welcome the opportunity to lead whenever possible.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
• +4 years of professional experience in software development
• Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design
• Computer Science fundamentals in data structures
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis
• Proficiency in at least, one modern object-oriented programming languages such as Java or C++

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
• Experience with Java, AWS technology stack
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project
• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
