Facebook is looking for a motivated Software Engineering Manager to join the Transport Security team and work in New York, United States for 2021. Software Engineering Managers are clearly characterized by progressive technical experience and demonstrated progression in management responsibility. You have also kept your coding skills sharp and bring an unwavering passion for managing the dynamics of a fast-paced environment. The Transport Security team focuses on network-level transport security and helps secure end-user traffic to Facebook in additional to internal traffic between services. Facebook’s mission is to help secure traffic by developing solutions that make network-layer security performant, reliable and easy to deploy and maintain.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and organizational leadership.
- Communicate cross-functionally and drive engineering efforts.
- Hold your own in technical discussion, be a subject matter expert, and have strategic influence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of software engineering work experience, including hands-on technical management.
- 5+ years of coding experience in one of the following languages: C++, Java, and/or PHP.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management.
- BA/BS in Computer Science (In lieu of degree, 4+ years’ work experience).
