Opportunity description
Microsoft is offering a full-time job opportunity as an Acquisition Manager to join the team in Washington, United States for 2021.
Duties & responsibilities
- Responsible for identifying, qualifying, and engaging new Payment Gateway, Processor, Acquirer, or highly strategic customers and Payment Service Providers.
- Proactively drive customer prospecting and lead generation in conjunction with sales and marketing teams.
- Develop customer success plans with well-defined and mutually agreed-upon outcomes with data-driven metrics.
- Build lasting relationships with partners in the payment’s ecosystem, as well as critical customers.
- Identify and secure executive sponsorship for engagement or trials to ensure outcome success.
- Strategize and collaborate with the Director of Acquisition to identify new opportunities, markets, or product capabilities to influence the sales and prioritize product roadmap.
- Attend tradeshows, key industry events, and onsite customer visits as required.
Eligibility criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in technical sales, or 3+ years in technical customer engagement.
- Exemplary oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to independently lead conversations with customers and partners ranging from C-Level executives to individual fraud analysts via phone, email, video, or in person.
- Ability to operate independently and lead cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, product managers, sales leaders, marketing leaders, fraud analysts, fraud business managers, and business development.
- Willingness to travel 5-20% of the time.
