Monthly Paid Internship Opportunity in Humanities at Vienna in Austria

The Center for International Relations at BOKU's service department invites you to its internship at Vienna in Austria. The duration of this internship will be about 3 months and it requires a full-time commitment. The Center for International Relations is BOKU's service department for International Affairs. Its aim is to facilitate and foster international contacts for the benefit of students, faculty, and friends of the university alike. As a service to the international community, it provides information about BOKU in different languages. The working language of the office is German.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for this internship you should: 

1. Have a score B2 in English.
2. Have a score B2 in German.
3. Be a Bachelor student when you are applying for the internship.
4. Have the skills of teamwork, organization as well as communication.
5. Have a good Experience in Microsoft packages as it is very important to your work.
6. Be a quick learner, accurate and reliable.

Responsibilities:

• You will be the responsibility of event management from preparation to logistics and support on the day.
• You will be responsible for proofreading and translation.
• You should prepare and check the documents which are related to a student.
• You will work on exchange programs.
• You will be responsible for basic student advice.
• You will assist the guests and support them.
• You will be asked to update an online database and update the homepage (CMS).
• You will Fill documents (applications, library,…).
• You will work on internet research.

Note: General office work will be mostly in German and English.

Important dates:

The placement starts in February 2020.

The length of Placement is about 3 to 6 months.

The application period will be from the 15th of August to the 15th of September, 2019.

Funding:

If you are accepted at this internship you will receive:

• BOKU will pay you a financial contribution of € 280 per month.
• It will provide you with tickets for public transportation in Vienna. 
• In BOKU office they offer different language classes in which you can participate for free if you wish. Please inquire about e.g. an Erasmus+ traineeship grant or national scholarship at the international office of your home university.
