Duties & responsibilities
- We are looking for a technology intern to join our newly created Volvo AI Research Internship Program. As our AI Research Intern, you will work alongside our AI Team on identified challenges that warrant deep domain expertise and early technology development. While the Volvo AI Research Internship Program is hosted at our Silicon Valley office, you will also be co-supervised by colleagues at Volvo Cars Sweden. This program is solely designed for PhD-level applicants and will aim for top-tier publication.
- This AI Research Intern position will tackle the challenges in the application of data science in various fields including forecasting, recommendation, and ranking. In this position, you will be responsible for performing technical surveys of state-the-art research in the related field, propose feasible algorithms and solutions, and work with a team of researchers and engineers to develop and deliver the system.
Eligibility criteria
seeking PhD students in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related fields. Desired skillsets include, but are not limited to the following:
- Machine learning, deep learning
- Data analysis, including time series analysis
- Proficient programming skills in Python
- Experience with forecasting, recommendation, and ranking system is a plus
