BI Consulting is seeking a Chief Accountant to join their team in Jordan. The selected candidate will oversee the company's accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards. This role is critical to the organization and involves managing comprehensive financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls to maintain the company's financial health.
Duties & responsibilities
Enter and manage financial data including cash, bank, payables, receivables, and payroll.
Process and verify supplier payments and vouchers accurately.
Manage expense accruals and continuously track receivables.
Handle bank accounts, including executing transactions and fund transfers.
Prepare regular bank reconciliations and manage overall payments.
Prepare accurate monthly and annual financial statements.
Maintain trial balances and monitor the budget versus actual expenses.
File regulatory returns and ensure full compliance with company policies and local legislation.
Eligibility criteria
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
Proven professional experience in a Chief Accountant or senior accounting role.
Strong working knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and establishing internal controls.
Practical experience with bank reconciliations, trial balances, and rigorous expense tracking.
Complete familiarity with financial regulations, compliance legislation, and standard accounting principles.
