Walt Disney offers an internship opportunity as an intern with content sales & distribution, that will last May/June 2022 through August 2022. Content Sales & Distribution is a dynamic team within DMED. The team is responsible for the SVOD, AVOD, and linear licensing of the films and TV series produced by the world-class studios of The Walt Disney Company. As an intern, you will be part of international business units that aligns technology, media distribution, and advertising sales into a single business segment to create and deliver personalized entertainment experiences to consumers around the world.
Duties & responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Assist with the US and global licensing of Disney content.
- Supporting revenue targets for the company’s entire portfolio.
- Provide deal support from beginning to end (e.g. content availability, pricing proposals, contract review, deal tracking).
- Distribution strategy, planning, and analysis; content planning and analysis; finance; accounting; marketing; and international sales.
- Be a content and programming expert across films and TV series, with a strong understanding of the SVOD, AVOD, Cable, and Broadcast businesses.
- Utilize and summarize data and research on titles, performance, trends, platforms, competitors, and markets.
- Explore and develop new licensing strategies and revenue opportunities.
- Create impactful presentations that combine strong analysis and narrative.

Eligibility criteria
You must have:
- Team player who thrives in a complex, fast-paced organization.
- Desire and capacity to learn, and adapt within a quickly evolving industry.
- Ability to problem-solve, and think independently.
- Work efficiently, and manage various projects simultaneously.
- Expertise in interpreting and synthesizing data in order to provide strategic insights.
- Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Effective and flexible communication skills.
- Currently enrolled in an MBA program and on track to graduate by summer 2023.
- OR must have graduated from an MBA program within 6 months.
- Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program concurrent to this internship.
- Unrestricted work authorization.
- Available to work full-time hours for the duration of the internship.
- Working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace for working remotely.
