The company is currently seeking an Experienced Associate in Audit & Assurance for the External Audit division at the Jordanian Resources Center, working primarily on the Oman market. The successful candidate will be committing to a career at one of the largest and most prestigious professional services firms globally. Duties & responsibilities
• Build trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their service level expectations. • Deliver high-quality services by demonstrating practical awareness of regulations, risk management, and business controls. • Take responsibility for understanding key entity statistics and industry matters prior to engagement. • Adapt template referral instructions to clearly outline the scope of audit procedures. • Liaise effectively with onshore and offshore Centres of Excellence to deliver relevant tasks. • Track deliverables from component auditors and appropriately link risks, controls, procedures, and findings. • Prepare documentation by anticipating reviewer questions and distinguishing between accounting and auditing judgements. • Develop relationships beyond the finance function to better understand the entity's business. • Build an understanding of the organization's purpose and demonstrate a strong commitment to personal learning and development.
Eligibility criteria
• A degree in Accounting or a related field (a graduate degree is desired).
• Over 3 years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with Big Audit Firms.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, inspect client financial records, compile and analyze data, and prepare detailed audit reports.
• Strong capability to plan and manage engagements and people to meet work plan specifications and deadlines.
• An international accounting qualification is desired (CA, ACCA, or CPA), with a preference for CA.
• Fluency in English (Reading, Speaking, and Writing); bilingual candidates (Arabic/English) will be given preference.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Oman when required.
• Over 3 years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with Big Audit Firms.
