Disney is offering D23 Membership & Programming Intern - Spring 2022. Glendale, California, United States. D23: The Official Disney Fan Club was established to bring Disney fans closer to the “magic” through one-of-a-kind experiences and special events, quarterly publications, exclusive online content, and opportunities to meet others who share the same affection for Disney, 365 days a year!

The approximate dates of this internship are January 2022 through June 2022.
Duties & responsibilities
The D23 Membership and Programming Professional Intern will have a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work directly with the team who produces content, events, and supports the guest service functions of D23. As an intern you will have an opportunity to work with the D23 Membership team. This will give you a unique opportunity to contribute to and understand:
- Communications: Assist in drafting and researching articles, event communications and recaps. Create Keynote presentations for both internal and external functions. Assist in creating, setting up, and fulfilling event surveys
- Project Management: Coordinate team meetings and agendas, managing master event calendar, track production milestones, and regularly update event documents and AAR based on team input
- Event Support: From assisting with brainstorming and master planning to creating run-of-show documents, to on-site operations such as interacting with guests and overseeing select areas of operation (e.g. check-in)
- Guest Services: assist in resolving guest concerns, in-person, and through digital correspondence and mailing
Eligibility criteria
- Knowledge and genuine interest in the Walt Disney Company’s past, present and future including films, animation, television and theme parks.
- Capability to work on multiple projects in a positive, pro-active manner
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills are a must
- Attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced, environment
- Works well on teams and independently with minimal direction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Extremely comfortable working in Keynote, designing quality, in-depth presentations
- Strong desire to learn
- Able to work a flexible event schedule, including nights and weekends as needed
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program
- Marketing or Communications or related field.
- Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship
- Able to provide own housing and transportation in the Los Angeles (or remote) area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with D23: The Official Disney Fan Club, and deep knowledge of Disney’s history, brands, processes and culture
- Previously completed an internship within the entertainment industry or relevant experience working in hospitality, event planning, project/program management or marketing/membership.
- ِAdvanced writing and editing experience
- Knowledge of digital online tools such as WordPress
- Design, event, and production experience is a plus
