Volvo Cars is now accepting applications for the Business/Financial Control and Volvo Car Financial Services (VCFS) internship. The Business/Financial Control and VCFS Intern will have the opportunity to support different functional unit Business Controllers whose roles span the entire national sales organization, as well as the financial services side of the business.
About the Role:-
- The Business/Financial control department is responsible for financial planning, steering, forecasting, and reporting with the goal of driving profit optimization and analysis.
- VCFS, or Volvo Car Financial Services, is the captive finance company for Volvo, Polestar and Lotus automobiles within the US. The finance department of VCFS is responsible for the accounting and finance functions of the captive, along with business analytics and reporting.
Duties & responsibilities
- Business/Financial Control:
- Running annual fixed asset reviews with Fixed Cost Controller.
- Automation of monthly reporting workstreams in Power BI with Financial Controller.
- Develop version tracking and lookup system for Americas P/L outlook.
- VCFS:
- Perform analytics relating to the quality of source data.
- Perform MM focus groups for BI Reporting improvements.
- Reconcile data between Stone Eagle, VCFS and VCUSA.
- Evaluate and determine reporting integrations with Stone Eagle data.
- Develop an understanding of the functionality of BI.
- At the conclusion of the assignment, present a new BI Dashboard to VCFS Mgmt.
- At the conclusion of the assignment, present how Stone Eagle data was integrated and can be used to develop retailers.
