Internship at the Field of Disneyland Resort External Communications at Fall 2023

Walt Disney offers an internship at the Field of Disneyland Resort External Communications at Fall 2022. Walt Disney is looking for a creative, social media savvy storyteller to join the team. In this role, you’ll dream up and produce social media content to highlight the magic of the Disneyland Resort such as Cast Member-exclusive opportunities, diversity and inclusion initiatives, community and environmental efforts, and more. Strong candidates will be contacted and asked to submit a writing sample and instructions will be provided at that time.

You will be responsible for:

• Write stories, conduct research and assist with developing presentations and fact sheets.
• Developing engaging social media content for the Disneyland Resort Cast and Community and Disneyland Ambassador social platforms by brainstorming content ideas, filming and editing videos for Instagram stories and reels.
• Using strong writing skills to write compelling stories about the Disneyland Resort, its Cast Members, and top initiatives.

You must have:

• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills in AP style with keen attention to detail.
• Video editing experience in Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to handle confidential information.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at once.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Portfolio (can be included as a URL link on your resume).
• WordPress experience.
• Verbal and written fluency with Spanish.
• Previous reporting/writing experience with a student or professional publication.
• Current or former Disneyland Resort Cast Member with a minimum of six months experience.
• Currently enrolled as a senior, or graduated within six months of application submission, in an accredited college/university earning a degree in communications or related field.

Additional Information:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Possess unrestricted work authorization.
• Provide own housing and transportation to/from work.
• The approximate dates of this internship are from June 2022 - January 2023.
